The vessel, Stena Prosperous, was bunkered with blended methanol. It contained 20% ISCC-certified bio-methanol and 80% grey methanol, Proman's spokesperson told ENGINE.
Valenz, Proman’s marketing arm, supplied the blended methanol. It was lifted at Vopak Penjuru Terminal in Singapore and delivered by the bunker tanker Kara. The bunker operation lasted for seven hours.
Stena Prosperous is the sixth methanol-fuelled tanker to join the Proman Stena Bulk fleet. The company is a joint venture between tanker firm Stena Bulk and methanol producer Proman.
