Provaris, Baker Hughes team up on compressed hydrogen technology

Australian hydrogen technology firm Provaris Energy has joined forces with Baker Hughes to advance compressed hydrogen technology for maritime transport and storage.

Under the partnership, Provaris will identify and assess project opportunities that can make use of Baker Hughes’ compression equipment and engineering know-how. In turn, Baker Hughes will contribute technical support on equipment selection, plant design, and cost modeling.

The collaboration will also build on Provaris’ concepts for compressed hydrogen barges and carriers.

The two companies are already working together on hydrogen export opportunities in the Nordic region, with Baker Hughes providing input on equipment and engineering services.
