Qatar has restored maritime navigation across its coastal areas, stretching from Lusail City to Hamad Port in the east, and from Umm Heesh to Doha Salwa in the west. Vessels can now access Qatari ports, anchorages and other marine facilities.

Doha had previously stopped all traffic near its coastal areas as a precautionary measure amid the ongoing security concerns in the Middle East region.

“The vessels subject to the provisions of the international maritime conventions, and which operate as per the regulations and procedures in place, are exempted,” the ministry said.
