Inbound traffic was suspended earlier this week due to rough winds of more than 25 knots and waves as high as 2 metres.

The port authority announced the resumption of all operations on late Wednesday afternoon, shipping agent A Mateos & sons told ENGINE.

However, the suspension has led to congestion in the port, with around 24 vessels awaiting bunkers as of Thursday morning, according to port agent MH Bland.

Some suppliers could be delayed on deliveries by around 2-8 hours, the port agent added.

Around 34 vessels are expected to call in Gibraltar between 5-10 March, according to A. Mateos & Sons.

Operations in Algeciras and Ceuta also proceed normally, port agent MH bland said.
