Rio De Janeiro considers extension of tariff discount policy - GEM Shipping

The Rio De Janeiro Dock Co, which manages port operations in the region, is considering an extension of port tariff discounts, GEM Shipping says.

Tariff discounts for some vessel classes were introduced in Rio De Janeiro in June to attract more demand to the region. Unless extended, the discounts are set to expire on November 4, GEM says.

The Dock Co is currently studying the impact these discounts have had on port operations and will consider an extension with adjustments based on the study result, GEM added.
