March 2, 2026

Operations at the Port of Gibraltar are limited to the northern half of the anchorage due to rough weather, port agent MH Bland said.

Rough winds of more than 25 knots and waves of around 2 metres are forecast in the area until 2 March, causing the Gibraltar Port Authority to issue a weather warning.

Subsequently, bunkering queues have increased at the port, with around 13 vessels awaiting bunkers as of Monday afternoon, MH Bland said.

Most suppliers are around a day behind schedule on deliveries, the port agent added.

In neighbouring Algeciras, all anchorage areas are operative but bunker barges are requesting supplies to be carried out at the inner anchorage due to the weather, the port agent said.

All anchorage operations are suspended in Ceuta, while supplies can be carried out ex-pipe subject to pilot’s approval, MH Bland added.
