Sahara Group starts physical bunkering in Mauritania

Energy conglomerate Sahara Group has launched a physical supply operation in Mauritania after receiving a bunkering licence from the Mauritanian government.

The firm has chartered a 7,600-dwt bunker vessel, FT Nervi, to supply marine fuels including VLSFO and MGO to vessels operating in Mauritanian waters, Sahara Group said.

FT Nervi is currently positioned offshore Nouadhibou, the energy company added.

Earlier this month, bunker suppliers Peninsula and Minerva Bunkering launched physical supply operations in Mauritania, West Africa.
