The 3,500 TEU vessel Seaboard Verde is equipped with a dual-fuel engine capable of running on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

Once delivered, it will serve routes connecting major ports, including Moin in Costa Rica, Colon in Panama, Kingston in Jamaica, Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic, Philadelphia and Brooklyn in the US.

However, the company has not revealed any information about the shipyard where the vessel was built.

The Seaboard Verde will join Seaboard Marine's fleet alongside its sister ships, the Seaboard Victory and Seaboard Voyager, both delivered in late 2024, as well as the Seaboard Blue, the world's first container ship converted from traditional marine fuel to LNG, the company claims.

Seaboard Marine plans to operate a total of nine LNG-capable vessels by the end of this year.
