Strong wind gusts of 31 knots are forecast in Gibraltar today, MH Bland said. This could complicate bunker deliveries in the port.

Bunker operations in Gibraltar port resumed yesterday after being suspended intermittently last week, triggering a heavy backlog in the port.

Congestion persists from last week, when inbound traffic was suspended in the port due to bad weather conditions.

In the adjacent Algeciras port, bunker operations have resumed at Delta anchorage and Outer Port Limits (OPL) today, MH Bland said. All suppliers are reporting delays of around 2-12 hours.

In Ceuta, bunkering is proceeding normally, according to MH Bland, but strong wind gusts of 30 knots are forecast in the port today which may trigger bunkering disruptions. All suppliers are facing delays of around 4-6 hours.
