Singapore and South Korea to develop green shipping corridor
Singapore’s Ministry of Transport and South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries have signed an agreement to create the Singapore–ROK Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC), according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Through this partnership, both sides will work on advancing the maritime industry’s shift toward zero, or near-zero greenhouse gas emission fuels. Plans include developing bunkering infrastructure, harmonising technical standards, carrying out joint industry and research trials, and offering collaborative training programmes for maritime professionals.
The corridor also seeks to drive greater digitalisation in maritime operations.
However, details such as the specific fuels, technologies, and project timeline have not yet been disclosed.
