Singapore LNG starts work on new jetty to boost LNG bunker supply
Terminal operator Singapore LNG (SLNG) has started construction of a third jetty at its Jurong Island terminal, which could increase its LNG bunkering capacity to 3 million mt/year.

The new jetty is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2028 and will be capable of handling LNG carriers ranging from 5,800-80,000 cbm.
Unlike SLNG’s existing jetties, the new facility will be dedicated to small and mid-sized vessels, allowing the terminal to handle more LNG bunker reloads along with break-bulk operations.
Once operational, the jetty will be able to support around 2 million mt/year of LNG bunker reload demand. The total infrastructure will be able to handle up to 3 million mt/year.
“As demand for LNG bunkering continues to grow, Jetty 3 will strengthen Singapore’s ability to support the next phase of growth…” Leong Wei Hung, chief executive of SLNG said.
Separately, SLNG has secured ISCC EU certification for handling liquefied biomethane (LBM) at its terminal. The certification covers storage, regasification, bunkering and trucking operations, allowing customers to trace and account for certified LBM handled through the facility.
The new jetty will also be capable of handling LBM, giving SLNG additional flexibility to support demand for the lower-emission fuel.
