Bunker supplier Golden Island will deliver bio-ethanol at Singapore's Pasir Panjang Terminal in an operation with shipping company Maersk and terminal operator PSA Singapore.

The delivery will take place while cargo operations continue on the vessel simultaneously.
A mass flow meter will be used to measure how much fuel is transferred, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said.
The trial will test how Singapore’s existing standard for methanol bunkering could be adapted for ethanol, and check whether mass flow meters work with the fuel.
MPA will use the results to set technical and regulatory rules for future ethanol deliveries at the port.
Senior Minister of State for Transport and Law Murali Pillai announced the trial at the Singapore International Bunkering Conference and Exhibition (SIBCON) on Wednesday. MPA did not say how much bioethanol will be delivered or name the receiving vessel.
