SinoBunker begins biofuel bunkering in Zhoushan - JLC

Chinese bunker supplier SinoBunker has refueled a container ship with 4,200 mt of B24-VLSFO biofuel blend in the Chuanshangang port area of Zhoushan port, market intelligence provider JLC reported.

The biofuel blend included 76% VLSFO and 24% ISCC-certified biodiesel from used cooking oil (UCO), the report said.

SinoBunker’s bunkering vessel, ZHOU SHUN 10, refueled the containership on 2 May, marking the launch of its biofuel bunkering services in East China, JLC reported citing the company.

Earlier this year, the bunkering company conducted a similar bunkering operation in South China, where two bunkering vessels pumped 4,000 mt of B24-VLSFO biofuel into another containership, XIN FEI ZHOU, at Yantian Port in Shenzhen.
