Earlier this year, Sohar Port and Freezone mandated compliance with the International Standard Organisation's (ISO) 22192 standards document for all marine fuel supply operations within the port, specifically focusing on the use of the Coriolis MFM system.
Coriolis MFM is an instrument that measures the mass flow rate of a fluid passing through a tube.
The document is a global standard that specifies procedures and requirements to ensure accurate measurement of marine fuel using MFM systems, specifically for bunkering operations. It sets guidelines for precise fuel measurement in maritime activities.
This collaboration aims to introduce MFM systems for precise bunker fuel measurement to bunkering operators and stakeholders within the Port of Sohar.
