A third vessel with similar carbon capture readiness is due for delivery later this month. The ships have been named Clipper Guardian, Clipper Galiot, and Clipper Galleon.
These vessels are expected to utilise carbon capture technology developed by Wärtsilä Exhaust Treatment.
Last year, Solvang also entered into a partnership with Singapore-based Seatrium to install and retrofit carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems across its fleet.
As part of this initiative, a new series of very large gas carriers (VLGCs), purpose-built for CCS integration, will undergo full-scale retrofitting starting in late 2026.
This collaboration builds on earlier progress with Clipper Eris, a Solvang vessel equipped with a CCS system that was delivered last year.
