Stolt-Nielsen completes Avenir LNG acquisition
Stolt-Nielsen Gas, a subsidiary of Norwegian tanker operator Stolt-Nielsen, has acquired all shares held by London-based Avenir LNG’s major shareholders, Golar LNG and Aequitas, according to a company press release.

This January, Stolt-Nielsen Gas had acquired a 94.37% controlling stake in Avenir LNG.
Through the acquisition, Stolt-Nielsen Gas will own and operate Avenir LNG’s fleet of five LNG bunkering vessels and two new LNG bunker vessels currently on order.
Avenir LNG is a UK-based and Bermuda-registered physical bunker supplier. It conducts small-scale physical supply and ship-to-ship bunkering operations.
It delivers LNG and mass-balanced bio-LNG to ports in the Baltic and Adriatic Sea regions, including those in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Italy.
