Suppliers in Zhoushan brace for upcoming rough weather

Bunker operations in Zhoushan's anchorages may be suspended from tonight onwards due to rough weather conditions, a source says.

Zhoushan is currently witnessing strong wind gusts and high waves, with wind speeds forecast to intensify further and touch up to 37 knots over the weekend.

Availability has tightened across all grades in Zhoushan due to bad weather conditions. Lead times for VLSFO and LSMGO have gone up from 2-5 days recommended in the earlier part of this week to 5-7 days now.

HSFO requires even longer lead times of around nine days now, another source adds.
