TFG Marine conduct first-ever e-BDN trial in Mauritius

TFG Marine carried out a trial of an electronic bunker delivery note (e-BDN) during a bunkering operation in Port Louis, Mauritius.

An e-BDN is a digital version of the standard BDN that records key details such as the quantity, grade and sulphur content of the fuel supplied.

This was the first use of the technology in Mauritius, according to TFG Marine.

TFG Marine has earlier deployed e-BDNs for deliveries in Singapore and more recently expanded their e-BDN programme to the Middle East through a successful trial at the Port of Sohar in Oman.

e-BDNs are mandatory in Singapore and are widely used in the ARA. They save the use of paper and reduce the possibility of human error while logging the critical details about the bunker delivery.
