Last month, Titan bought two LNG carriers from the Canadian gas transportation company Seapeak. Since the purchase, the company has been evaluating shipyards to carry out retrofitting of these vessels to supply LNG bunkers.
The two LNG vessels Titan Unikum and Titan Vision, will each have capacity to hold 12,000 cbm of LNG. Post retrofitting these vessels will be able to supply LNG, bio-LNG and e-LNG to ships in the Mediterranean and across Europe, Titan said.
It expects Titan Vision to join its LNG bunker fleet next month.
The global LNG bunker delivery vessel fleet is currently made up of 44 vessels, with another 10-14 expected to join this year, according to classification society DNV.
