Traffic unaffected by sunken tanker in Singapore
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) reported that the Malaysian-registered tanker, Silver Sincere, sank near Pedra Branca, a small island 24 nautical miles east of Singapore.

All eight crew members were rescued by the Indonesia-registered freighter Intan Daya 368, following MPA’s coordination after receiving a distress call from the tanker about water ingress.
As part of the response, MPA deployed its vessels alongside those from the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Police Coast Guard. The search and rescue operation has concluded, and salvage tugs have been activated for vessel recovery.
Oil spill response craft are on standby as a precaution and passing ships have been advised to avoid the area. Traffic in the Singapore Strait remains unaffected.
