Trio sign agreement to develop LNG bunkering at Kandla
Indian state-owned gas utility GAIL (India), Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) and classification society DNV have signed an agreement to explore the development of an LNG bunkering facility at Kandla Port.

The partnership will assess the infrastructure, supply chain, safety framework and operational ecosystem required to support LNG bunkering at the port, GAIL said.
The initiative combines GAIL’s LNG-handling expertise, DPA’s strategic port infrastructure and DNV’s technical expertise in maritime safety and LNG bunkering.
The companies, however, have not disclosed further details about the project, including its timeline.
