The vessel is a Kamsarmax — built to the maximum dimensions permitted for entry into Kamsar Port in the Republic of Guinea — and is capable of running on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

The company has not disclosed details regarding the vessel’s owner or its intended area of deployment.

The global fleet of LNG-capable vessels currently totals 921, with a further 673 ships expected to be delivered by 2033, according to DNV.
