The 5,900 TEU container ship is fitted with HD Hyundai’s methanol dual-fuel engine, which can operate on both methanol and conventional marine fuels.

However, the company has not disclosed further details, including the vessel’s name or its owner.

The ship is scheduled for delivery to the owner in February 2026.

In July, Tsuneishi Shipbuilding launched its first methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax bulk carrier through its Philippines-based arm, Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu).
