The UK government’s Department for Business and Trade has set up this taskforce to maximise investments in the country's hydrogen sector. It was formed last November as part of the government’s Advanced Manufacturing Plan, which sets goals for the manufacturing business.

The taskforce aims to identify and boost the development of hydrogen propulsion technology in the maritime sector, among other modes of transport. It has teamed up with the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative and Innovate UK to develop UK's hydrogen sector.

Together, they will submit recommendations to the government later this year.
