US fuel oil production rises in November
The US produced 8% more fuel oil per day on average in November compared to October, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Changes in monthly US residual fuel oil from October to November:
- Production up 22,000 b/d to 306,000 b/d
- Supply up 6,000 b/d to 239,000 b/d
- Imports down 18,000 b/d to 108,000 b/d
Volumes of fuel oil supplied out of US storage tanks has increased in November. The fuel oil goes to outlets like bunker fuel blenders and bulk terminals, refinery coking units for upgrades to higher-value products, or to power generation.
Supply, which can also imply demand, has increased from 233,000 b/d in October 2025 to 239,000 b/d in November, the EIA reports.
US refineries have produced 22,000 b/d more fuel oil in November, while imports have decreased by 18,000 b/d.
Total US fuel oil stocks have increased 1.42 million bbls on the month to 23.06 million bbls.
