The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned UAE-based shipping company Oceanlink Maritime and its 13 vessels for shipping Iranian commodities.

Iran-based energy company Sepehr Energy shipped commodities valued at over $100 million on Comoros-flagged HECATE, ANTHEA, and BOREAS tankers that aremanaged by Oceanlink Maritime, OFAC said.

HECATE conducted a ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of commodities from a previously sanctioned tanker.

OFAC had sanctioned Sepehr Energy in November 2023.
