Vilma Oil Med supplies B30-VLSFO in Ceuta

Supplier Vilma Oil Med has completed three B30-VLSFO bunker operations in the Port of Ceuta, the port authority said in a LinkedIn Post.

Vilma's B30-VLSFO is a blend of 30% advanced biofuel made from organic waste, and 70% VLSFO.

Ceuta has been trying to establish itself as a bunkering hub for alternative fuel, as biofuel bunkering speeds up in the Mediterranean.

The biofuel was shipped as cargo from Rotterdam to Ceuta and stored in Petrolifera Ducar’s storage facilities in the port area.

Since the cargo arrived, Vilma has carried out three B30-VLSFO deliveries to LNG carriers. The third such operation was carried out between 2-3 October, when it supplied 2,300 mt of B30-VLSFO using the Vemaharmony barge.

Vilma Oil Med is majority-owned by bunker supplier TFG Marine.
