Weather woes keep bunkering halted in Zhoushan’s OPL area

Bunker operations at Zhoushan’s Tiaozhoumen and Xiazhimen outer anchorages have been halted for nearly a week due to rough weather, according to a source.

Meanwhile, bunkering continues without disruption at the more sheltered Xiushandong anchorage and the inner anchorage at Mazhi.

The disruption has created a significant backlog, with around 50–60 vessels waiting for fuel at the port, a trader said. As a result, suppliers are now advising lead times of about 5–7 days for all fuel grades while they work through the congestion.

However, there is still no clear timeline for when operations at the affected anchorages will resume.
