A fuel supply system stores, filters and regulates the flow of fuel from storage tanks to the engine, ensuring the fuel is delivered at the right pressure and temperature for efficient combustion.
Nikkiso Clean Energy's ammonia fuel supply system is suitable for retrofit projects as well as for installation on newbuilds, according to the classification society. ABS has completed design reviews, ensuring the system meets both class and statutory requirements.
“Ammonia promises to be one of the leading fuel alternatives in the energy transition,” ABS Senior vice president Patrick Ryan says.
In September, Finnish fuel supply system provider Auramarine launched an ammonia fuel supply system for ships.
