CSOVs are purpose-built offshore vessels designed to support the installation, maintenance and operation of offshore energy infrastructure, particularly offshore wind farms.

The vessel, Acta Gemini, is fitted with a methanol dual-fuel main engine, enabling it to run on both methanol and conventional marine fuels.

It is set to begin a long-term charter supporting the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm at Dogger Bank, UK. Operating from Grimsby, the vessel will undertake operations and maintenance activities for the wind farm on behalf of German energy company RWE.

With Acta Pegasus and Acta Hercules already delivered, the latest addition further expands Acta Marine’s offshore support fleet. The fourth vessel under construction, Acta Aquarius, is scheduled for delivery later this year.
