Another LNG supplier targets Galveston bunkering
Mexican LNG company Énestas will offer operational support to Power LNG's proposed LNG bunkering facility at the Port of Galveston in Texas.

US-based LNG supplier Power LNG plans to build an LNG liquefaction and bunkering facility on Pelican Island at the Port of Galveston.
Power LNG told a local media outlet in June that the plant will be designed with an initial LNG production capacity of 400,000 gallons/day and 3 million gallons of storage capacity. Bunkering operations are expected to begin in 2027, followed by LNG production in December 2028.
Énestas will provide LNG transport and storage equipment for the facility's harbour-side terminal, along with expertise in LNG handling and distribution.
The partnership will allow LNG deliveries to start by truck, supplying bunkering and other customers while the broader project is under development.
Galveston draws LNG bunker interest
US energy firm Stabilis Solutions is also developing a 350,000-gallon/day LNG liquefaction facility in Galveston, adding to its existing LNG bunkering operations at the port.
The facility is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2028, with LNG bunker deliveries to be carried out by a vessel due for delivery in the same year.
Stabilis said it completed 97 LNG bunkering operations at the Port of Galveston, supplying more than 150,000 cbm (67,050 mt) of LNG to customers. The company has also signed a 10-year agreement to supply LNG to Carnival Corporation's cruise vessels at the port.
