The operation was conducted on Royal Caribbean’s LNG dual-fuel cruise ship Icon of the Seas in Honduras.
The 7,500-cbm bunker vessel Avenir Advantage was previously operated by Axpo Group in Spain, from where it headed to the Americas in April, according to a report by trade intelligence firm Kpler.
In June, Carnival Cruise Line bunkered its cruise ship Carnival Jubilee in Roatán, Honduras, which was the first-ever ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation conducted at the port.
Kpler’s report indicated that Avenir Advantage was involved in that operation.
