Carnival Cruise Line completes first-ever STS LNG bunkering in Roatán

Florida-headquartered cruise operator Carnival Cruise Line’s LNG-capable cruise ship, Carnival Jubilee, has bunkered LNG in Roatán, Honduras.

The refuelling marked the first-ever ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation conducted at the port, according to Carnival Cruise Line senior first engineer Francesco Scarso.

The company has not disclosed the volume of LNG supplied, nor has it revealed the identity of the supplier or the bunker vessel involved in the operation.
