The suspension has been in force since earlier this morning. The Gibraltar Straits are currently witnessing strong gale-force wind gusts of up to 35 knots, which are forecast to calm tomorrow and Sunday.
The suspension is likely to be lifted around 18.00 local time (17.00 GMT) today after a review from the port authority, MH Bland adds.
In nearby Ceuta, a partial suspension is in place in the anchorage area due to adverse weather conditions. Some stems can be supplied via ex-pipe, but these deliveries are subject to discretion, says MH Bland. There are currently seven vessels waiting for bunkers in Ceuta today, says shipping agent Jose Salama & Co.
Earlier this week, inbound vessel movement was suspended in Gibraltar due to rough weather on Wednesday. The port authority lifted the suspension the next day.
