Rotterdam's B30-VLSFO (POMEME) price has fallen by $7/mt over the past week, a much smaller decline than the $43/mt drop in the port's conventional VLSFO price.

The relatively limited movement in the B30 blend could reflect higher biofuel feedstock costs offsetting much of the decline in the fossil fuel component.

Prima Markets-assessed POMEME and UCOME barge prices have both risen by $71/mt over the past week to $1,869/mt and $1,799/mt, cushioning the impact of weaker VLSFO prices on the blend.

Similarly, Rotterdam's B30-LSMGO price declined by $54/mt during the week, compared with a steeper $105/mt fall in conventional LSMGO prices, suggesting that a stronger feedstock price has also limited the fall in the B30-LSMGO blend price.

Meanwhile, Rotterdam's B100 price has moved $11/mt higher to $1,365/mt.

Lisbon’s B30-VLSFO price has remained mostly flat over the week and is at a $104/mt premium over Rotterdam’s B30-VLSFO price.

Meanwhile, Lisbon’s B30-LSMGO price is at a $39/mt premium over Rotterdam's.

Asia

Singapore’s B30-VLSFO (UCOME) price has increased by $53/mt to $1,036/mt.

The port’s conventional VLSFO price has dipped by $5/mt to $825/mt.

The B30-VLSFO (UCOME) price premium over conventional VLSFO has increased by $58/mt over the last week.

The Prima Markets-assessed UCOME cargo price, which is connected to the B30 blend price in Singapore, has dipped by $15/mt in the past week.

In other biofuel news, physical bunker supplier Peninsula has signed an agreement with Evos to develop biofuel storage infrastructure at the Port of Algeciras, aiming to boost its biofuel bunker capacity in the Strait of Gibraltar. The agreement covers Dutch chemical storage firm Evos’ planned 60,000-cbm dedicated biofuel storage facility at its Algeciras terminal.
