Capital Gas Ship Management takes delivery of LPG dual-fuel carrier

Greek ship management firm Capital Gas Ship Management has taken delivery of the LPG dual-fuel gas carrier Aridaios from HD Hyundai Mipo in Ulsan, South Korea.

The 45,000 cbm-capacity vessel can run on both, LPG and conventional marine fuels. It is designed to transport LPG as well as other liquefied gas cargoes.

Aridaios is the second 45,000 cbm gas carrier delivered to the company, and is a sister vessel to Aristogenis, which joined the fleet in June 2026.

Capital Gas Ship Management has not disclosed where the vessel will be deployed or provided further details.

The global fleet of LPG-capable vessels currently comprises 175 ships, with another 163 expected to enter service by 2030. Of the existing fleet, 163 are dedicated LPG carriers, while the remaining 12 are designed to carry both LPG and ammonia, according to classification society DNV.
