CLdN orders two new LNG dual-fuel RoRo vessels

Luxembourg-based logistics company Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Navigation (CLdN) has ordered two vessels from Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The 6,700 lane-metre roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels will be capable of running on LNG as well as conventional marine fuels like VLSFO.

Construction of the new vessels will start towards the beginning of 2028, with delivery scheduled for mid-2029, CLdN said.

The vessels will be built with space reserved for future additions of larger electric shaft generators and batteries, as technology matures, the shipping and logistics company added.
