The vessel is capable of operating on both methanol and conventional marine fuels. It is part of a series of six 15,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships being built at CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard in China. The first vessel in this series, CMA CGM Antigone, was delivered in December last year.

CMA CGM continues to strengthen its methanol-capable fleet. Earlier this month, it took delivery of CMA CGM Osmium, part of a 13,000 TEU series of 12 methanol dual-fuel ships being built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea.

In January, the company received CMA CGM Monte Cristo, the first vessel in another series of six 15,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ships under construction at DSIC Tianjin Shipyard.
