To comply with the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), all concerned companies must disclose how and to what extent their economic activity is sustainable according to set parameters.
Shipping companies that fall within the ambit of the CSRD from 2023/2024 should then report the share of their revenue, operating expenses and capital expenditure that is aligned with the EU directive.
Danish Shipping's deputy chief executive Jacob K. Clasen said “Danish shipping companies have already increased their CO2 efficiency substantially and many of them have set their course towards climate-neutral shipping. However, it can be complicated to clarify and verify what is 'green' and what is not. Therefore, we are happy to present this new template to help our members."
Danish Shipping is hosting a webinar to present its EU taxonomy template tomorrow.
