October 7, 2022

Rotterdam’s front-month HSFO barge crack was slammed by rising crude values in today’s trading. It printed a daily low of -$31.00/bbl at the end of the window. This number was just shy of a $2/bbl drop from its previous settlement.

Unlike its HSFO crack, Rotterdam's front-month VLSFO crack closed almost flat with its settlement yesterday, rising by just $0.05/bbl. Singapore’s front-month VLSFO crack rose by $0.10/bbl.

After strengthening over the week, VLSFO spreads remained fairly dormant today. Singapore’s front-month to second-month VLSFO spread traded in a narrow $0.25/mt range and closed $0.25/mt lower than yesterday, at $22.25/mt.
