TT-Line provides ferry service between Travemünde in Germany and Trelleborg in Sweden.
Ships need electricity to run onboard operations and equipment while docked in port.
Onshore power supply “will enable our ships to connect to the local power grid while at berth, significantly reducing emissions and noise pollution in the harbours,” TT Line said. This can help reduce vessels' overall fuel consumption when waiting in the port and lower their well-to-wake emissions in the near term.
