Gibraltar’s June bunker calls rise 17% on year

Gibraltar recorded 553 bunker calls in June, up 17% from 472 in the same month last year, according to Gibraltar Port Authority data.

However, bunker calls fell by 8% from May, when a record 599 vessels called at the port for bunkering.

The port recorded 2,869 bunker calls in the first half of the year, up 13% from 2,548 during the same period in 2025.

Gibraltar sees increasing bunker demand from cruise ships in the summer months. Gibraltar received 110 cruise ship calls in the first half of the year, 11 more than during the same period last year.
