The 49,800 dwt chemical tanker, Ecomar Gironde, is capable of running on both, methanol and conventional marine fuels, and was constructed at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in China.

The vessel is the final in the four-ship newbuilding program developed with Hafnia’s joint venture partner, French shipping company Socatra.

The latest handover follows a series of earlier deliveries, including the Ecomar Gascogne in January, the Ecomar Guyenne in May, and the Ecomar Garonne in August 2025.

All four vessels in the series will be deployed on a multi-year charter to French energy firm TotalEnergies, Hafnia said.
