HD Hyundai completes sea trials of South Korea’s first ammonia dual-fuel vessel
South Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), in collaboration with classification society Korean Register (KR), has completed sea trials of South Korea's first ammonia dual-fuel propulsion vessel.

The sea trials were conducted to establish a domestic operating environment for ammonia-fuelled vessels and focuses on studying the environmental sustainability of ammonia-fuelled vessel operations.
The trials were carried out on the "world's largest ammonia-powered gas carrier", according to KR.
The project forms part of South Korea's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' Support Project for Establishing Green Shipping Routes.
