HD Hyundai secures order for LPG dual-fuel gas carriers

South Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Mipo (HD HMD) has signed a contract to build two LPG dual-fuel gas carriers.

Each vessel will have a capacity of 45,000 cbm and will be capable of operating on both LPG and conventional marine fuels. Delivery is scheduled for July 2027.
While the buyer's identity remains undisclosed, the company confirmed in a stock exchange filing that the order came from a Europe-based shipping company.
According to classification society DNV, the global fleet of LPG-fuelled ships currently consists of 126 vessels, with 124 of them being gas carriers.
