The study will analyse the feasibility of a joint project that will leverage each company’s facilities and resources to support the construction of these vessels, following the design and production of the first commercial liquefied hydrogen carrier by Kawasaki.
Liquefied hydrogen carriers are expected to play a vital role in creating a hydrogen supply chain by enabling the large-scale transport of hydrogen, according to a joint statement.
