Larsen & Toubro joins H2Carrier’s floating green ammonia project as an engineering partner
Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is the latest company to board Norway-based H2Carrier's P2XFloater project - a large-scale floating green hydrogen and green ammonia production facility.

As the engineering partner in the project, L&T will design & manufacture the topside process and utility modules to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia. H2Carrier says this includes the electrolysers, the nitrogen generation plant, and ammonia synthesis.
According to L&T's whole-time director Subramanian Sarma, "out-of-the-box thinking and innovative solutions are the need of the hour” to accelerate decarbonisation progress.
H2Carrier’s chief executive Marten Lunde told ENGINE last week that the company is updating its P2XFloater design to include 850,000 mt/year of production capacity.
