The vessel, Marvel Swallow, has been built at Hanwha Ocean’s shipyard in Geoje, South Korea and is chartered to Mitsui & Co.
“The vessel will undergo a gassing-up/cool-down operation in Japan,” MOL said. During this time, the vessel’s storage tanks prepare for safe loading, ensuring that the vessel is ready to receive the LNG cargoes at its first loading port in the US.
The vessel is equipped with the MAN Energy Solutions’ dual-fuel engines, MOL said.
