A subsidiary of the marine tech form HAV Group, NES will supply containerised onshore charging stations including transformers, switchboards and other equipment.
The two onshore charging stations are expected to be delivered in 2026. Four autonomous electric ferries will begin operating in the Lavik-Oppedal crossing on Norway’s west coast in 2026 and will utilize these stations.
Lavik-Oppedal is a 5.6-km long ferry route in Norway’s Sognefjord. One of these stations will be installed at the berth in Lavik while the other will be installed in Oppedal.
