When ships receive LNG bunker fuel along with loading and unloading procedures, it is termed SIMOPs. Pavilion Energy’s bunker vessel, Brassavola, delivered an undisclosed amount of fossil LNG to German container line MSC’s container ship, Monica Cristina.
The bunkering was carried out at the Tuas Container Terminal in Singapore.
This operation closely follows Brassavola’s LNG bunkering of Hapag-Lloyd’s container ship, Brussels Express, and its maiden LNG bunkering operation of Rio Tinto-chartered bulk carrier, Mount Api, in February.
